Depletion works 5-21-2009
SUBJECT: Daily evaluation of work for the removal of oil products from the wreck of the K/Z "SeaDiamond" NP 118
We inform you that today 05/21/2009, Thursday, the following work was done:
1. Completion of the repositioning of the anchors on the 2 sea moorings and the strengthening of the onshore moorings (Old Mine and three rocks).
2. Carrying out strength tests for all four moorings (2 at sea and 2 on land) using the P/K ATLAS (bollard pull test)
3. Visual inspection (ROV) of the anchor of the B anchorage at sea.
The B sea mooring passed the test by R/K (at 20 T for 2 minutes) – a visual re-check of its anchor was also decided. The N sea mooring failed the test by R/K (at 20T it moved about 5m) – TPP took responsibility to fix it by tomorrow so it can be re-checked. B shore mooring (Old Mine) met the test by R/K (at 10 T). N shore anchorage (three rocks) responded to by R/K ATLAS (at 17 T). All of the above is done to protect maritime security. When this stage is completed the next step is to enter the VOS SATISFACTION inside the antifouling dam area.
